VM01 setup: start with your vehicle, SIM and camera views

Use this checklist with the downloadable VM01 instructions below. It brings the preparation steps together; follow the manual supplied for your unit for the exact controls, installation and power settings.

1. Confirm the recording views. VM01 has a 2K front camera and an infrared cabin camera. Check the view from the normal driving position before final mounting; it does not include a separate rear-window camera.
2. Check the vehicle power arrangement. Confirm OBD-II suitability and the required voltage settings. Keep the cable clear of controls and follow the vehicle and camera instructions. Parking monitoring needs continued power and is not a promise of indefinite operation.
3. Prepare the connection. Use compatible SIM service, an active data plan and local 4G coverage. We prepare worldwide-use cameras for their shipping destination; tell us if the intended country of use is different.
4. Check storage and the trial. The current package lists a 64GB microSD card, support up to 128GB and a seven-day SIM trial. Note the actual activation and expiry terms shown in the app. Optional cloud storage is separate from mobile service.
5. Verify while safely parked. Check front and cabin framing, remote live view, a new recorded clip and the alerts you intend to use separately. Repeat the power and remote check after the car reaches its normal parked state.
