The video doorbell works flawlessly. After downloading the app, the installation process is guided interactively; it doesn't strictly follow the included manual, but it is easy to understand. Recordings are saved locally on the included memory chip. As described, no additional cloud account is required! Each resident needs to create their own account for use, and access is managed via "Family Sharing." It was important to us that the connection works on our existing Wi-Fi network using both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. If the router provides both frequencies, you aren't limited to just the 2.4 GHz band mentioned! It automatically switches to a higher-contrast black-and-white image in low ambient light. To monitor a larger entrance area, we would need 1–2 additional cameras to achieve adequate (wide-angle) coverage. I’d be happy to share more insights on daily use later.
