The video doorbell works flawlessly. After downloading the app, the installation process is guided interactively; it doesn't strictly follow the included manual, but it is easy to understand. Recordings are saved locally on the included memory chip. As described, no additional cloud account is required! Each resident needs to create their own account for use, and access is managed via "Family Sharing." It was important to us that the connection works on our existing Wi-Fi network using both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. If the router provides both frequencies, you aren't limited to just the 2.4 GHz band mentioned! It automatically switches to a higher-contrast black-and-white image in low ambient light. To monitor a larger entrance area, we would need 1–2 additional cameras to achieve adequate (wide-angle) coverage. I’d be happy to share more insights on daily use later.

It accurately detects both people and packages. It detects and records motion beautifully; when someone knocks or rings the bell, I just take a quick look at my phone to see who is there. And if I don't want to speak to a visitor or open the door, I don't have to. However, there are a few automated responses the phone and doorbell can play if you wish. Another great feature is that you can see who is at the door from miles and miles away—as long as you have your iPhone with you. I was impressed by the camera and sound quality. Wi-Fi lag is barely noticeable. The battery life is also excellent. The doorbell detects motion efficiently. Setting up the doorbell was very easy, thanks to clear instructions in the manual. Un point un peu négatif est le temps de latence, entre le moment où l'on sonne et celui où l'appel et/ou l'alerte arrivent sur mon smartphone, le visiteur a le temps de s'impatienter ou de partir.Par ailleurs, dans la description du matériel livré, il était indiqué le carte micro SD était intégrée dans le port de la caméra, malheureusement, dans le kit que j'ai reçu, elle n'y était pas ! Dommage, un achat en plus à devoir faire.
