We set up a large enclosure in our garden for our two rabbits. Unfortunately, there is no mains power supply nearby. To keep an eye on the rabbits at all times, I ordered this solar-powered camera from Ucocare. I’ve already mentioned the camera's greatest strength: it is solar-powered. Thanks to the included solar panel, the camera charges using solar energy, eliminating the need for a wall outlet or a hardwired connection. This offers maximum flexibility. The image quality is impressive, too. The 4MP camera captures detailed, clear images and videos that look very vivid, ensuring we always have a great view of the rabbits. Although we don't need this feature for the enclosure, the integrated lighting is powerful. This UCOCARE C1 camera offers the possibility of being able to install it in places without power sources as it has 2 18650 lithium batteries inside (verified by disassembling the device) and a 5W solar panel. I tested the absorption of the camera when it was charged and it is very low, only 0.08A at 5V, which is 0.04 Watt, so the panel will be able to power the camera and at the same time recharge the batteries, obviously only if exposed to direct sunlight. If you are unable to use the panel, you can always recharge the camera with a USB type C charger and 4 months of operation are guaranteed thanks to the batteries alone. The camera has a gasket in the body to prevent water from entering, the speaker is also covered by a waterproof membrane, as is the USB port which has two rubber pads, both of which can be lifted to access the USB and microSD connector. The video output is truly clear and high-quality; even in night vision mode, the infrared images are sharp and well-defined. The app is well-designed; pairing the device is very intuitive, and it offers many useful options. The motion alerts are very handy, with adjustable sensitivity settings. A particularly great feature is the ability to record footage locally by inserting an SD card into the camera; these video clips can also be saved to your phone or PC. I installed it on my house wall facing the gate and driveway—about 8 or 9 meters away—and despite the distance, the images are very sharp. The night vision is surprising—truly excellent, far better than I expected. Another strong point is the audio; both incoming and outgoing sound are excellent—very clear and easy to understand. Con la placa solar incorporada puede ser autónoma y no depender de fuentes de alimentación, por eso la compre, y aunque es pequeña funciona muy bien y carga sin problemas y también se puede alimentar desde portátil o con el cargador de móvil 5V y el cable está incluid. El detector de movimiento funciona muy bien con Inteligencia Artificial (IA) para poder detectar mejor humanos y evitar que salten falsas alertas , también configurable. La configuración es muy sencilla y en menos de 30 minutos lo tendrás configurado e instalado y compatible con Alexa, que deja configurarlo desde la app o desde la lista de skills de Alexa (la skill se llama Puwell Cloud), y con el comando ver + nombre de la cámara puedes ver la cámara desde los dispositivos Echo vinculados a la casa.Pasos para configurar:Conectar la placa a la cámara, pulsar botón de encendido.Instalar la app CloudEdge y registrase.Pulsar el botón de reset y en la app pulsar sobre + para agregar y continuar con los pasos de la app, seleccionar wifi y Password.Desde la configuración de la cámara te da la opción de vincularlo con Alexa y con Google Home, también se puede configurar si muestra el led (indicador de trabajo), configurar la alarma por horas, configuración de la hora así como poder crear zonas de la cámara donde no se notifican las alertas. Primero que todo hay que tener en cuenta que la cámara solo es compatible con wifi de 2,4GHz y no lo es con wifi de 5GHz y la señal de este debe de ser buena para un emparejamiento exitoso.A partir de ahí la instalación es sencilla y el emparejamiento con Alexa igual. Permite grabar y sacar fotografías de las grabaciones, descargarlas y en caso de que se contrate la tarifa de la nube usarla también como almacén de descarga en lugar de tarjeta SD. Viene con ranura para tarjeta micro SD pero no la incluye. Y según las instrucciones admite tarjetas hasta 128GB.Yo la cámara la he instalado en interior y la placa solar como tiene un cable de unos 5 metros la he sacado por la caja de registro hasta la parte de atrás del muro que da al patio. Así me ahorro de tenerla que andar cargando cada cierto tiempo ya que la placa si se sitúa en una zona en la que reciba unas cuantas de horas de sol al día ya da carga suficiente para que funcione sin problemas. Llevo con ella algo más de un mes y va de lujo. Se ve muy nítida incluso de noche y con poca luz y no se pixela con lo cual la imagen es bastante buena. La recomiendo con los ojos cerrados.No puedo opinar de la tarifa de pago para contratar la nube porque no he llegado a suscribirme aunque me parece que hay una prueba gratuita de una semana para curiosos o interesados, a mí eso no me hace falta para el uso que le doy.
First of all, keep in mind that the camera is only compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (not 5GHz), and the signal needs to be strong for successful pairing. Once that's sorted, installation is simple, as is pairing with Alexa. It allows you to record video, take snapshots from the footage, and download them; if you opt for the cloud service, you can use that for storage instead of an SD card. It has a microSD card slot, though the card itself isn't included, and the instructions state it supports cards up to 128GB. I installed the camera indoors; since the solar panel has a cable about 5 meters long, I ran it through the junction box to the back of the wall facing the patio. This saves me from having to recharge it periodically, as the panel provides enough power for trouble-free operation provided it's placed where it gets a few hours of sunlight a day. I've been using it for just over a month, and it works perfectly. The image is very sharp—even at night or in low light—and doesn't pixelate, so the quality is excellent. I recommend it without hesitation. I can't comment on the paid cloud subscription since I haven't signed up for it—though I believe there's a one-week free trial for anyone curious or interested—but I don't need it for the way I use the camera.

I am amazed by the infrared light range; it likely illuminates up to about 50 feet. All features seem to work as advertised. I haven't tried the "Humanoid Zone" setting yet, but it looks like it would be very useful. You can specify that only humans in specific areas of the image are detected.
