My Arlo camera finally died on me but I don't want to spend a fortune on security so I got this one after shopping around. What I like about this camera is it's small, can be placed inside or outside. The installation doesn't take long (10 mins) and it came with a guidance sticker for mounting. Setting up the camera took me literally 2 mins since I already have the app in my phone already. According to the instructions you need to reset the camera but I did it without resetting it. As long as the red light is blinking which means it's in paring mode so you just need to get your phone close enough for it to read the QR code then it'll let you know that it paired successfully with a chime. I find this way it's much better than having to connect the ethernet cable to the mode or router. However like any other cameras out there it can only be connected to 2.4ghz not 5g. My favorite part about this camera is the ability to track movements or motions which is perfect since I ordered a lot of stuff from Amazon and now I can keep an eye on it whenever there's a delivery guy showed up. In case I need to view previous clips from the past I just need to go to the app and select whichever dates I want to view without the need of a subscription. By the way it came with a 32gb card which normally other camera don't come with it. The image came out of the camera is super clear but it also has 4 led lights built-in for night recording. I have also tested out the 2 ways communication of this and it's very clear, no lagging or buffering. So far I have been using this camera outside of my house in the rain and no issue at all. Finally it has the ptz ability so I can look at different angles or area that I want to monitor. Overall I give it a 5 stars since I can't find any flaws in this. Documentation isn't really a strong point.Camera installed easily enough, and did connect to our 5G Wi-Fi even though other reviewers and the camera instructions said it would only connect to a 2.4G Wi-Fi router. The microphone is very sensitive and picks up birds chirping from across the street. Daytime image quality is very good, will need to check night time images - you can set night images to colour or black and white.Still have to figure out the sensitivity settings, very sensitive to wind blowing the cedars on the driveway, rook it off PTZ setting so will see how that works.It is not a waterproof power connection - the power cable has a USB male end which plugs into an outlet converter. This limits its use outdoors, and should be manufactured with a proper power plug. The power cable is quite long and I was able to run it into an outlet inside the garage.Will update when have used it longer. For the price point it's pretty reasonable so far!Update: We have had this unit up and running for a couple of weeks now and I have to say that I am very impressed by this camera. Were able to monitor it while out of the country and connection to it was flawless. We even could see that there was one unknown person who came to the front door and had our house sitters go and check immediately. Still have wind blown trees triggering the camera, but easy to delete rather than set sensitivity too low and miss a human.If you are on the fence with this product, don't hesitate and buy it!
